This Privacy Policy explains how Black Landcestry LLC collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information through Black Landcestry, including the website, mobile application, provider marketplace, booking tools, messaging features, document upload features, Zoom meeting functionality, and related services.
This Policy is based on the Platform’s current build and the business and developer confirmations provided. If Platform practices change, this Policy should be updated before those changes are implemented.
01 Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information, including name, email address, phone number, city, login credentials, and social sign-in information if used.
- Profile information, including profile pictures, biographies, Provider categories, service descriptions, credentials supplied by Providers, rates, availability, and reviews.
- Booking information, including requested services, booking notes, consultation details, cancellation status, communications, and related administrative records.
- User and Provider documents, including case documents, Provider documents, images, supporting records, or other uploaded materials.
- Messages and communications exchanged through Platform messaging, support communications, and notification records.
- Payment and payout information, including payment transaction information processed through Stripe and Provider bank account or payout information used for payouts.
- Meeting information, including Zoom meeting links and meeting-related metadata.
- Device, log, and technical information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Platform.
Stripe processes payment card information directly. Based on current implementation, the Platform does not store full credit card numbers or CVV codes.
02 Sensitive Information
Users may submit case-related documents, notes, and messages that contain sensitive personal, legal, family, property, financial, identity-related, or other matter-specific information. Users should submit only information necessary for the services requested.
The Platform does not treat all submitted information as attorney-client privileged. Privilege, confidentiality, and professional duties depend on the relationship between the user and the individual Provider, applicable law, and the Provider’s own obligations.
03 How We Use Information
- Create, authenticate, and manage accounts.
- Display Provider profiles and user-facing Platform content.
- Facilitate booking requests, booking acceptance, cancellations, and meeting links.
- Enable user/provider communications and document sharing.
- Process payments, fees, chargebacks, and Provider payouts.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Manage reviews, ratings, featured placement, complaints, and Platform integrity.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, and enforce Terms.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and administrative obligations.
- Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Platform.
05 Admin Access
Authorized administrators may access chats, booking notes, uploaded documents, Provider documents, profiles, reviews, account records, and other Platform records where necessary for support, complaint handling, security, legal compliance, payment administration, or Platform operations. The Platform should limit administrative access to authorized personnel and implement access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
06 Storage and Retention
Uploaded documents are stored through Hostinger based on current developer confirmation. Messages, booking records, Provider records, reviews, and other Platform information may be stored in Platform databases or systems. The Platform does not automatically delete all records on a fixed schedule.
Users may request account deletion or delete their account through available Platform tools; however, deletion of an account may not immediately or completely delete all messages, uploaded documents, booking records, payment-related records, reviews, support records, backup copies, or records that have already been submitted, shared, processed, or retained for legitimate business, legal, security, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, complaint-handling, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes. Where deletion is available, Black Landcestry will process deletion requests in accordance with its then-current technical capabilities and applicable legal obligations. Black Landcestry may retain information where retention is reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, complete transactions, maintain business records, comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, preserve security, or protect legal rights.
07 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to current operations. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Backend encryption for uploaded documents is not currently confirmed as implemented and may be a future improvement. We do not guarantee absolute security, confidentiality, or protection from unauthorized access.
08 Payments and Payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers or CVV codes. Provider bank account information may be collected or stored for payout purposes and may be editable or deletable by Providers through available account tools, subject to payment, tax, legal, accounting, security, and operational requirements.
09 Zoom Meetings
The Platform may facilitate virtual meetings through Zoom using a Platform Zoom account. The Platform does not currently record meetings. Zoom may process meeting information or metadata according to its own terms and privacy practices. Users and Providers should not record meetings unless all required consents are obtained and recording is permitted by law and Platform policy.
10 Analytics, Cookies, and Tracking
Based on current confirmations, the Platform does not use analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or advertising tracking tools at launch. The Platform may use essential technologies needed for login, security, session management, and Platform operation. If analytics, advertising, or tracking tools are added later, this Policy should be updated before implementation.
11 Communications
We may send transactional emails or messages related to accounts, bookings, payments, cancellations, password resets, support, security, policy updates, and Platform administration. If we send promotional emails, they will include an unsubscribe mechanism where required. If SMS or automated communications are enabled, we will obtain consent where required and provide opt-out instructions where applicable.
12 Children’s Privacy
The Platform is intended for users age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
13 Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us at support@blacklandcestry.com to request access, correction, deletion, or other action regarding personal information, subject to applicable law and operational limitations. We may deny or limit requests where retention is necessary for legal, payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, backup, complaint, dispute, or legitimate business purposes.
14 Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may connect to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. Users and Providers should review the terms and privacy policies of Stripe, Zoom, Google, and other relevant service providers.
15 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes may be communicated through the Platform, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance where permitted by law.
